Today in modern sports, it has become increasingly popular to discredit the NHL, and to label it is as a fading organization. The notion that hockey is anything but a blood soaked frenzy for thug-like brutes, is false. Hockey is and always be for the working class. And while tickets to baseball and football games reach unforeseen price ranges, hockey seems to always ring true. It claims no tradition, but changes infrequently. It thoroughly and righteously encourages the use of bare knuckle fist fighting and toothlessness. It is true grit in the rarest form; on ice.
